Guy has been Managing Director of Kmart since 2008, during which time, he has more than quadrupled profits for his shareholders, whilst increasing value for Kmart's customers with better products at better prices. Prior to that, he was Managing Director and CEO of McDonald's Australia, and President of McDonald's Greater China region. Guy is also the President of the International Half the Sky Foundation for orphaned children in China and is currently on the Board of Guzman y Gomez, Premium Fast Casual Mexican Restaurants. With his blend of excellence in business and passion for the marginalised and under-privileged, Guy is a kindred spirit for Genashtim and what we stand for. Since early 2016, Guy was appointed as CEO of Dept Stores Division for Wesfarmers, which includes Target and Kmart.
Ben is originally from Malaysia, and with an Engineering Degree from the UK, he started his engineering career in Singapore. Then for 13 years, he developed and grew Havi's Asian businesses, which provided end-to-end supply chain services to McDonald's Asia Pacific. He then joined Li & Fung in 1999 and led IDS, their HK-listed distribution and logistics arm, with operations in more than 10 countries.
Ben is now on the main board of Fung (1937) Holdings Ltd. The HK-based Fung Group employs 40,000 people across 40 economies, with total revenue exceeding US$ 25 billion.
With his intimate knowledge in traditional businesses, and his experience in modernising them with cutting-edge technology and information systems, Ben is of immense value to Genashtim.
With a degree in civil engineering from Imperial College London, Willie worked for Arups in London after graduation. In 2005 he embarked on a 28-year stint with HSBC as an International Manager. He worked in a variety of roles in 9 countries, including as COO in China, CEO in Thailand and Head of Commercial Banking in Singapore before retiring from HSBC in 2012. Willie is now based in Kuala Lumpur where he is on the board of Bangkok Bank Berhad as an independent director. Willie is passionately promoting and marketing Genashtim to all his friends around the world and to anyone who cares to listen because he believes that we have a world-class product whilst making the world a better place in the process.
With a PhD in Psychology, Dr Brad Elphinstone, lectures on campus and online at Swinburne University of Technology. Brad has published a number of peer-reviewed journal articles and presented at international conferences on how thinking styles and motivation contribute to greater wellbeing, academic success, and pro-social engagement.
With his knowledge of cutting-edge motivational theories, expertise in online education, and focus on creating environments that support human flourishing and wellbeing, Brad is well suited to help Genashtim reach its goals.
Sarah Teo is known for her passion in Learning Design. Over 30 years, she has helped many organisations in learning transformation for sustainability and learning effectiveness to achieve business goals. She has been doing these through the deliberate and effective use of technology for holistic learning solutions. Sarah believes in the importance of teamwork in cutting-edge endeavours. She is helping the Genashtim team build and grow together to innovate and sustain cutting-edge learning solutions.
